چینی وزارتِ تجارت کے حکام نے موجودہ غیر مستحکم اور غیر یقینی بین الاقوامی و علاقائی صورتحال کے پس منظر میں جنوبی ایشیا کے ساتھ تجارتی تعلقات کو بڑھانے کی اہمیت پر زور دیا۔ چین اور جنوبی ایشیائی ممالک کو سپلائی چین کے تعاون کو مزید وسعت دینی چاہیئے اور بنیادی ڈھانچے، نقل و حمل اور توانائی سے آگے بڑھ کر ابھرتے ہوئے شعبوں جیسے ای کامرس اور بایومیڈیسن میں توسیع کرنی چاہیے، نائب وزیر تجارت یان ڈونگ نے جمعہ کو ایک پریس کانفرنس میں کہا۔ یان نے کہا کہ چین اور جنوبی ایشیائی ممالک کے درمیان تجارت 2025 میں 200 ارب ڈالر سے تجاوز کر گئی اور 2026 کے پہلے چار ماہ میں سالانہ 15.8 فیصد بڑھ گئی۔انہوں نے کہا کہ چین اب پاکستان، بنگلہ دیش، سری لنکا اور مالدیپ کا سب سے بڑا تجارتی شراکت دار ہے۔
Chinese Ministry of Commerce officials emphasized the importance of strengthening trade relations with South Asia against the backdrop of the current unstable and uncertain international and regional situation.China and South Asian countries should further expand supply chain cooperation and move beyond infrastructure, transportation, and energy to expand into emerging sectors such as e-commerce and biomedicine, Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong said at a press conference on Friday. Trade between China and South Asian countries exceeded $200 billion in 2025 and grew 15.8% year on year in the first four months of 2026, Yan said. China is now the largest trading partner of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, he said.
