اسرائیلی وزیر اعظم نیتن یاہو نے اپنی فوج کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ غزہ کے %70 حصے پر قبضہ کرے۔ نیتن نے کہا کہ %60 پہلے ہی ہمارے قبضے میں ہے اب اسے بڑھا کر %70 کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ نیتن نے اس کے پیچھے حکمت یہ بتائی کہ اس سے حماس پر دباؤ بڑھے گا۔ ایک سوال کے جواب میں نیتن نے کہا کہ آہستہ آہستہ آگے بڑھیں گے اور %100 قبضہ بھی کریں گے۔ اکتوبر 2025 جب جنگ بندی کا معاہدہ ہوا تب اسرائیلی فوج پہلے سے طے شدہ لائن جسے ’’ ییلو لائن ‘‘ بھی کہا جاتا ہے اور غزہ کا %53 حصہ اسرائیل کو دیتی ہے، تک ہیچھے ہٹ گئی تھی۔
