Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the province's first electric taxi scheme

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the e-taxi scheme in Lahore, he said that the e-taxi scheme will prove to be an excellent source of dignified employment for both men and women. In the first phase of the scheme, 1100 electric vehicles will be provided. Under the scheme, the government will pay 60% of the down payment for women drivers and 50% for men drivers. Mentioning the environment-friendly green buses, he said that first we brought green buses to every district, and now we will reach every tehsil.
