یوکرین سویڈن سے 20 نئے گریپن ماڈل کے لڑاکا طیارے خریدے گا جبکہ سویڈن پرانے ماڈل کے 16 لڑاکا طیارے یوکرین کو عطیہ کرے گا۔ یہ بات دونوں ممالک کے وزرائے اعظم نے ایک مشترکہ کانفرنس میں کی۔ پچھلے سال دونوں راہنماؤں نے ایک معاہدے پر دستخط کیے تھے جس کے مطابق یوکرین سویڈن سے 150 ساب گریپن ماڈل ای لڑاکا طیارے خریدے گا تاہم نئے ماڈل کے طیاروں کی یوکرین کو حوالگی کچھ سال بعد ہو گی۔یہ ڈیل یورپی یونین کی طرف سے یوکرین کو 90 ارب یورو کے قرض کی منظوری کے بعد ہوئی ہے۔
Ukraine will buy 20 new Gripen model fighter jets from Sweden, while Sweden will donate 16 older model fighter jets to Ukraine. This was announced by the prime ministers of both countries at a joint conference. Last year, both leaders had signed an agreement according to which Ukraine would purchase 150 Saab Gripen model E fighter jets from Sweden; however, the delivery of the new model jets to Ukraine will take place a few years later. This deal comes after the European Union approved a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine.
